Ben Foden Embracing Skin to Skin Shirt With Cute New Baby

by Laura Driver

Ben Foden’s wife Jackie has shared a sweet video of the rugby star cradling their newborn daughter Farrah after the couple welcomed their baby, three weeks early, last week following complications.

Ben, who has daughter Aoife and son Tadhg with ex-wife Una Healy, looked smitten as he cosied up to Farrah while celebrating Memorial Day in the US.

“What do you got in there?,” she asks Ben, who replies: “More lobster,” as he tucks into his food. Jackie wrote on top of the image: “@ben_foden completely embracing the skin to skin shirt I got him.” Ben is seen with Farrah in a sling close to his chest. She also shared some clips of family members meeting Farrah at home just days after the couple announced her arrival.

Jackie also posted a photo of herself cradling her baby, who they’ve named Farrah Abra Foden, right after she was born before revealing the details behind her labour as she told her followers: "So with an original due date of June 12, a few weeks ago I developed cholestasis, which is an elevation in liver enzymes or something. I was getting super itchy and blood work showed concerning levels, and it was decided I needed to induce at 37 weeks which is technically considered term.”

Jackie then explained that she was in labour for an entire day and wasn't dilating, which meant she had to have a Caesarean section. "After 24 hours of labor, I wasn't dilating, and she needed to be sectioned, so mom and Mark (my stepdad) scrubbed up and had her out in 30 mins. (Ben cut the cord which turned out to be super short, which is probably why she wasn't coming down naturally and helping me dilate).”

Alongside the photos, she wrote: "Farrah Abra Foden, 5/20/2020, 6lbs 12oz, 19.5 inches of pure adorable alien old man cuteness We love you so much little one."

Congratulations Jackie and Ben!
